Any ideas on how I can resolve this? I found SOME drivers for the webcam, which are the ones I’m using now, but it’s very possible that they aren’t the boot camp ones. View answer in context. If I add a second filter in Virtualbox, for the iSight camera specifically, and check the boxes next to both that and the blank filter, it loads the camera into Windows XP but puts an exclamation point next to it in the Device Manager. Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help, and unmark the answers if they provide no help. I am stuck in a loop. A few minutes of googling will confirm for you that this is an ongoing issue with VirtualBox.

Tuesday, March 8, 1: However, I am still not able to get my webcam to work in Virtualbox as the guest Windows XP does not recognize my camera as Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Deluxe and so I cannot install the driver. Must admit I never bothered working on this any further, I have gone back to a dual boot system. I have a Logitech E, it works under Ubuntu 8. Anyhow, I attached the bugreport modified in order to help you may understand this issue a bit more.
I’m a vmware guy, but I don’t think you’ll be able to until virtual box supplies the guest additions to support it. Sign up using Email and Password. I was able to fix the greying out issue of USB devices by adding my user name in Ubuntu to isighg group ‘vboxusers’.
Thank you so very much for your help. I just did that on my fedora 11 box and the yahoo messenger in vigtualbox windows XP VM is able to use the webcam.

I can’t figure out a way to uninstall the driver. How to find and access the specific driver version for your system depends on which specific Mac, MacOS, and Windows version you use. Enjoy both VirtualBox and FaceTime.
Hyperbox – Virtual Infrastructure Vvirtualbox – https: Nov 23, 2: You may be issight to use some of the drivers from boot camp to get iSight working in XP in Virtual Box, but it sounds like what is needed is the support from the VirtualBox devs; they need to make changes to the guest editions Virtual Box Thread.

VirtualBox: using macbook iSight or FaceTime HD Camera [SOLVED]
To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. This is NOT the “driver not installed” error, and I can reinstall the driver, which Windows will call a successful install each time, but changes nothing.
I was really confused about my not working iSight camera. At this point the Windows becomes so slow it is virtually impossible to use.
