While the StormTracker can only detect 1 stroke at a time, it can detect up to 3, to 3, strokes per second. I understand why they’re discontinuing it, but it would be cool if they just updated it to a newer version pcie card to keep costs down. StrikeStar has greatly improved precision compared to single sensor systems and its accuracy is comparable to that of the major commercial lightning detection networks for locating areas of thunderstorm activity.
